Numbers Foundation is committed to evidence-based accountability. Here is what our work has achieved, measured in real outcomes for real students.

Meru District, Arusha · Intervention Year: 2023 · Partner: Foundation Le Solstice Tanzania
Nshupu Secondary School had failed to produce a single Grade A result in mathematics across nine consecutive years since the school was established in January 2000. For many students, this was not about ability — it was about the absence of support, resources and encouragement.
In 2023, Numbers Foundation began its intervention at Nshupu in partnership with Foundation Le Solstice Tanzania, focusing on Form Four students preparing for the national Basic Mathematics Examinations. The results were immediate and historic.

The 2023 results mark the first Grade A results in the school's history — three students achieving the top grade — alongside a shift in the school's average performance from Grade F to Grade D. A decade of stagnation was broken in a single year of focused, community-centred intervention.
In 2024, Numbers Foundation delivered its Give Back With Maths programme at Nkoanekoli Primary School. Comparing Regional Mock Assessment results with subsequent National Assessment results reveals striking improvements across all grade bands.
Most notably, the proportion of students scoring Grade E — the lowest band — fell from 36% in the Regional Mock to zero in the National Assessment. Meanwhile, Grade C improved dramatically from 6% to 42%. These outcomes directly align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 for quality education.
Regional Mock vs. National Assessment after Give Back With Maths intervention
Through the Give Back With Maths programme, three students who achieved A- grades in mathematics were identified and supported to receive full sponsorships for their high secondary school and university education. This represents the full journey of our work — from classroom intervention to life transformation.
In 2023, Numbers Charity supported 7 students at Nkoanekoli Primary School with essential items including shoes, socks, stationery (pens, pencils and rulers), shirts, trousers and skirts.
In 2024, we expanded our reach — supporting 30 students with the same essential items. These are not merely supplies. They represent dignity, belonging, and the ability to show up to school prepared to learn. A child who arrives without shoes or a pen cannot focus on mathematics — our charity work is inseparable from our educational mission.
