Nshupu Secondary School, Meru District

A first Grade A in 23 years

Nshupu had never recorded a Grade A in mathematics since opening in 2000. In 2023 Numbers Foundation and Foundation Le Solstice Tanzania delivered intensive coaching, remedial teaching and mentoring to Form Four students. Within a year the school had its first Grade A, and it has kept achieving Grade A since.

They believed in our students when we had almost stopped believing ourselves.

Grade C up from 6% to 42%

Students from vulnerable backgrounds received school supplies, sport and intensive mathematics coaching in 2024. Grade C in the National Assessment rose from 6% to 42%, and Grade E was eliminated.

My daughter was afraid of maths. After Numbers Foundation visited, she came home excited about a problem she solved.
